About Nadia


Nadia holds a double degree Master in E-learning from the Open University of Catalonia and the University of Guadalajara.

Currently, she is a doctoral student at the Higher Education and Leadership Doctoral program (via online delivery) at the University of Calgary. 

Her research interests focus on the Open Educative Resources in developing and Spanish-speaking countries, specifically in the Latin American region.

For 6 years she worked at the U. of Guadalajara in the areas of ICTs, Computer Assisted Language Learning and Self-Access Centers and at the Internationalization Office. She was author and project manager of federal-funded projects related to language learning with use of ICTs.

Since 2008, she collaborates for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) at the Knowledge and Learning Department as an e-learning and instructional design consultant.


She is the author and director of the video "Open Education Matters: Why is it important to share content?", which won the 3rd place at the US Dept of Education and Cretive Commons contest.
